The brief second of a twinkling star's life
+
is the time when it's searching for its lost dream.
+
Only when it's lived through its transient life spectacularly,
+
will the star be able to fall into a deep slumber.
+
But I know, I know for sure:
+
it's no use crying all day long.
+
So I dream a happy dream,
+
and dry all the tears that I shed.
+
Let me whisper in your little ear;
+
I'm afraid you'll be amazed:
+
I have to fight and I really fear.
+
Tomorrow I'll be on my way;
+
I'll be alone singing this song.
+
If I were to sacrifice my life to God,
+
I would tell Him that I'm really glad.
+
'Cause I know, I know for sure:
+
He and I have got the same design.
+
So I'll always be a happy dreamer,
+
no matter what it costs.
+
I am never that strong.
+
I'm not what I appear to be.
+
Don't get me wrong; never that strong.
+
Talking to the daisies one day at a time,
+
I fall into a doze full of tears in my eyes.
+
But I know, I know for sure:
+
it's no use crying all day long.
+
So I dream a happy dream,
+
and dry all the tears that I shed.
