Vigilante is a spin-off of My Hero Academia, officially tied to its main story, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court. It was serialized from 2017 to 2022 on the manga app Shonen Jump+ and the 15th volume of the comic series has been released.
The story is set a few years before the events of My Hero Academia and explores the lives of vigilantes, people who act as unrecognized, non-legal heroes, saving others without recognition
Koichi Haimawari, an ordinary college student who once aspired to become a Hero but gave up on that dream. The story shows his encounter with Pop☆Step, a self-proclaimed idol, and Knuckle Duster, an illegal vigilante, marking the beginning of Koichi’s journey into the world of vigilantes.
