The setting: near-future Japan, facing an era of extreme population decline.
Children have become national treasures, carefully protected and managed by adults in full-boarding schools.
In this world, Santa Claus, once a symbol of dreams and hope for children, is now considered a dangerous figure—and targeted for elimination.
On a snowy December 25th, middle schooler Kazushige Mita finds himself targeted for assassination by his classmate, Shiori Fuyumura.
She has discovered that Mita is a descendant of Santa Claus—and hopes to have her wish granted by him.
"Santa, please help me find my friend."
Shiori's wish is to find her missing best friend, Ichie Ono.
To protect the children and grant this wish, Mita resolves to become Santa Claus himself—and take up the fight against the adults!
Based on the original work by Paru Itagaki, the award-winning creator of BEASTARS, which took home the Grand Prize at the 2018 Manga Taisho and swept numerous other major manga awards.
