When did I develop this liking, I wonder I don't remember exactly, but I guess that's okay
I feel in the garden's corner My very own expanding space garden
Thorns which prick softly are among the roses With a gentle, pleasant fragrance I carry snipped-off herbs, brushing off the dirt So that today I can make chamomile tea
Before each day was the unchanging anticipation Of each morning that was not the same
Sometimes my heart aches But a carrot and stick relationship is needed to grow something beautiful
A gift too great for me to accept, That place was the vision of what I had long hoped for With surprise and joy, I found that limits no longer existed I return to this place within myself everyday
Covered in scratches, covered in mud
Living on this wooden deck with the arched gate Constantly arranging the hanging plants Now that the things I've been working on are complete, I pray: Gardening, gardening tomorrow, too Gardening tomorrow, too
