In the distant future, humanity created a robot named "MIRU." Without weapons, it travels through time and space, visiting various eras. Though the world is parallel, across different times and places, MIRU meets people who are desperately trying to live in every era, and it empathizes with their struggles and pain, helping them take the first step toward a new life.
Through meeting "MIRU," humanity begins to walk toward hope. Why was this robot created? Can it save the future of Earth, which is heading toward dystopia? "MIRU" itself is not perfect, and it grows through its encounters with people, learning and struggling along the way.
With the new friend "MIRU," humanity takes a small step toward a bright future. Though that step may be small, it causes a large change, like a "butterfly effect," and becomes a step toward regeneration. This anime embodies the thought that "the future can be created by our own hands."
