In her new role as a saleswoman at the grand Hokkyoku Department Store, Akino is bound by strict rules, one of which is the complete absence of the word 'no' in a concierge's vocabulary. This is no ordinary store; its clientele consists entirely of animals, with the most prized among them being those of extinct species. From sea minks and laughing owls to Japanese wolves and even a colossal mammoth named Mr. Woolly, a renowned sculptor whose works grace the store, it's a place of luxury retail, with Akino facing a multitude of demanding requests from the animal customers.
These requests range from sourcing rare items to delving into more intricate matters of the heart. Can the inexperienced Akino meet their whims and exceed their expectations? To retain her position, she must succeed while constantly under the watchful eyes of the meticulous floor manager, Mr. Todo, an unsettling consultant keen on staff reductions, and the store's enigmatic president.
