After facing a harsh rejection, Momo Ayase finds herself downcast when she stumbles upon a boy being bullied. Acting on impulse, she intervenes, and the alien-obsessed boy seizes the opportunity to discuss their supposed shared interest in extraterrestrials. Dismissing his claims, Ayase insists she believes in ghosts, sparking a heated debate over which is real.
To settle their disagreement, they make a bet: Ayase will explore locations linked to aliens, while the boy investigates those associated with the supernatural. When they arrive at their respective sites, they discover that neither is mistaken—both aliens and ghosts exist.
