Yoichi Isagi finds himself at a crossroads after a pivotal moment in a high school soccer match costs his team a shot at nationals. Torn by regret and uncertainty, Isagi ponders the alternative outcomes of his decision. Upon returning home, he receives an unexpected invitation from the Japan Football Union to participate in the controversial Blue Lock project.
Selected as one of three hundred U-18 strikers, Isagi learns of the project's ambitious aim: to mold one player into the star striker for Japan's national team. Despite his moral reservations, Isagi commits to the intense competition ahead. Fueled by determination, he embarks on a journey where each participant must navigate solo and team challenges to emerge as the ultimate victor, even if it means confronting and surpassing the aspirations of 299 fellow contenders.
