The recent sad news created a big question among Japanese households:
"Who's the next Chibi Maruko Chan?"
The Fuji TV has been airing a re-runs for a few weeks, but after a few auditions, Kokoro Kikuchi has been chosen as the new voice of Chibi Maruko chan.Her first voice appearance as Maruko will be on April 21, 2024.
Her past work includes Sarada from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and Toko from One Piece
Back in 2018, she hd been on the episode "Maruko, Yuurei wo tasukeru" as a character called "Ohana chan"
She commented "You may not get used to my voice for a while, but I would be grateful to have your patient and support. Thank you"
