The time is the Bakumatsu era.
Amid the turmoil engulfing the streets of Kyoto, a group of young men gathers.
They are the Mibu Rōshi-gumi, commonly known as “Miburo.”
Later to be called the Shinsengumi, they stake their lives to protect the peace of the city.
When a kind-hearted boy named Nio joins the Miburo,
their bonds grow stronger through countless days of battle.
“If we are to protect Kyoto, we must first abandon comfort and move forward into something new.”
Inspired by Nio’s words, the Miburo begin recruiting new comrades and set their sights on expanding the organization.
However, the presence of Serizawa Kamo, the chief commander, causes cracks to form within the ranks.
As uncompromising senses of justice collide,
a fleeting yet fateful assassination is set into motion—
The Blue Miburo — Serizawa Assassination Arc — begins.
